Making sure you're covered is what Robert Q Travel & Air Bus does best!
What is the difference between “free” credit card travel insurance and comprehensive travel insurance provided by a Travel Agent?
Most travelers don’t realize that hospital expenses in the USA can cost over $10,000 per day, yet OHIP only covers $400 maximum per day. A credit card will likely limit what they will cover from this type of medical expense, while comprehensive travel insurance through a Travel Agent does not have the limitations which credit cards do. It’s important to read the fine print of your current plan to make sure you are fully covered. Medical expenses in the US are a good example of why out of country medical coverage is extremely important and definitely a necessity whenever you leave Ontario, whether it’s just one day or 30 days.

Destination for the month of January with Robert Q Travel & Air Bus,Whistler, B.C!
If you don’t want to leave Canada this year, Whistler is the place to be in the winter or summer! Hit Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain on skis or a snowboard mid-November to mid-May. The mountains are connected by a Peak to Peak gondola that is operational nearly year round. The mountain becomes a bike trail in the summer and even hosts a BMX competition. It is also a great place to hike in the summer. It’s a cool feeling to be wearing a t-shirt while being surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Whistler village is very quaint, and easy to walk around. Part of the village is actually vehicle free! There are many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to check out. The village area has lots of great hotel options and is the best place to stay. Explore the outskirts of Whistler. There are lots of lakes to see around the area and even beaches. Kayak, canoe, paddleboard or if it’s a really hot day you can swim in the chilly waters. Visit the popular Train Wreck site along the Cheakamus River. It is a beautiful trail with awesome views of the wild river. Relax and soak in the mountain views at the Scandinave Spa. The Sea to Sky Highway connecting Whistler to Vancouver is an attraction itself. The views are breath taking. If you’re not driving, keep your camera ready!

Where Not To Go In 2018:
Each year Fodor’s Travel creates a No list. This is a list of destinations they recommend we not visit in the upcoming year. Their recommendations are based on their belief that we need to look after this wonderful world and that sometimes by saying no we can bring about change and/or recovery. Some destinations such as the Taj Mahal have been placed on the list this year because it’s scheduled for a major cleaning this year. So, unless you want to see the dome mud-caked and covered in scaffolding you are better off delaying your visit until next year.
