For those customers who truly know their wines, our extensive selection of wine kits allows us to match your tastes. Just getting started? We can help you to select wines you will enjoy.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will walk you through the simple process of making your own wine.
Here is what you can expect when winemaking with Grape Expectations:
- You will come into our store and we discuss your wine preferences to select a wine you’ll enjoy within your budget.
- You’ll spend about 10 to 15 minutes starting your batch of wine with us guiding you through the process.
- We take care of your wine for 4 to 6 weeks until it is ready to bottle.
- We will call you to schedule a bottling time; it takes about a ½ hour to bottle one batch of wine.
- You can bring in your own bottles or purchase new bottles from us. (750 ml $1.00 + HST)
- You can taste your wine a time of bottling, and with a bit of aging it will become even more enjoyable.
In accordance with regulations of the A.G.C.O. we require your name, address, phone number and payment at time of ordering your wine
- All wine is made with filtered water
- Price includes: wine kit, labels, corks, shrink tops and HST
- Regular wines make 30-750ml bottles
- Specialty wine make 30-375 ml bottles

Q: WHEN CAN YOU DRINK THE WINE?
A: You can taste it when you bottle the wine, but you will prefer 4-week wines in 2 to 4 weeks, and 6-week wines in 2 to 6 months after bottling
Q: HOW DO I STORE THE WINE?
A: Freshly bottled wine should be left standing for one week, and then laid down on its side to wet the cork for storage.
Q: WHERE DO I STORE THE WINE?
A: In a dark cool place with a fairly constant temperature. A basement is ideal.
Q: ARE ALL WINE KITS THE SAME IN WINE ON PREMISE STORES?
A: Definitely not! There are many grades of wine kits, with premium kits creating superior wines. Also the wine kit manufacturers Grape Expectations has chosen produce many award winning wines.
Q: HOW DO I CLEAN MY BOTTLES?
A: Rinse them as soon as possible after you finish the wine, they should be rinsed 2 to 3 times with hot water, then stored upside down. (Do not use soap). Our labels are easily soaked off in warm water.
